Charlotte’s outfit is way more than the typical NYC uniform of all-black. This thrifty junior managed to dress like a model on a college student’s budget. With her borrowed pieces and thrift-store finds, Charlotte created a laid back look all her own.

The piece that initially drew me to Charlotte–her oversized black sweater-type coat, isn’t even hers — she grabbed it from her roomie’s closet! This great vintage find was layered over a black sweater and a plain colored t-shirt. Her KSUBI jeans were the splurge in the outfit — but, in my opinion, they were totally worth it. A pair of black skinny jeans has become quite the versatile staple around here.

Continuing to mix the new and old, her new Ray-Bans were balanced by the old riding boots and vintage bag. And really, how awesome are those boots?!

Charlotte’s look is decidedly effortless. Definitely a fun and artsy twist on the black we see way too much of while roaming the streets…
