Why we spotted her:
Pattern alchemy at its finest, black and white stripes plus leopard boots yields an unexpected delight! Joyce’s outfit is exuberantly playful in the face of the gloomy weather we’ve been having, proving that as long as a heavy coat and thick scarf are involved, winter dressing doesn’t have to be stark and dull. Round frames give this look even more of a fun, free spirit.
Coat: Jelly Garcia in Korea, $500. Scarf: Intermix, $200. Glasses: Oliver Peoples, $350. Vest: Zucca, $200. Sweater: Jelly Garcia, $200.Jeans: Paige Denim, $100.Boots:

Where are you on your way to?
On my way to grab some coffee in between classes.
Favorite store/brand?
My favorite store in NYC is Stella Dallas by 10 ft Single on North 6th in Williamsburg. It’s a pretty good vintage store that isn’t outrageously priced.
Where are you from?
I proudly hail from Richmond, VA
How would you describe your style?
I would usually describe my style as casual or androgynous, but I’ve been throwing on lots of gaudy and/or girly accessories lately to femme up my look.
Why we spotted her:
Sporting black and white from the ankles up, Leslie surprises us by throwing in a pair of bright blue socks and daring Marni platforms. While staying loyal to her usual androgynous look by sporting a sleek, straight silhouette, she adds that touch of femme with her fur sweater and platforms to kick it all up a notch.
Hat: some antique store (Warwick, NY), $35. Earrings: Macy’s, $45. Coat: J.Crew, $250. Vintage Fur Sweater: Halcyon Experienced Clothing (Richmond, VA), $45. Hoodie: Urban Outfitters, $50. Jeans: J Brand, $160. Long Johns: Walmart, $5. Socks: SmartWool, $20. Platforms: Marni – eBay, $70. Leather Purse: Stella Dallas Vintage (Williamsburg, Bklyn), $20.

How would you describe your style?
Electric, like electricity. You just know when it’s all put together that everyone loves it, then you love it, and it’s contagious. It’s contagious electricity.
How is school going this semester?
School has never been better. I love it — and my professor Tracy Ann Williams. She’s sassy!
Why we spotted him:
To dress up, or to dress down? Here we get the best of both. Trey “preps up” his boho-casual shoes and hat with a polished shirt, tie, and vest combination. Chic and comfortable, he can easily go right from class to a dinner out — probably more than a coincidence, we figure, since he’s boldly informed us of his singledom!
Hat: H&M, $7. White Shirt: Juicy Couture, $100. Vest: French Connection, $150. Jeans: Stitch’s Jeans, $300. Boots:
Amsterdam, $1,000.

Favorite store/brand?
Forever 21, because I can be super creative, make tons of great outfits, and spend just the right amount… or a few dollars extra if I’m feeling risky. My favorite brand is Emporio Armani, I own one thing from him, I adore it, and I will never be able to afford anything else until I’m making the big bucks.
How would you describe your style?
Completely trend conscious – I read Lucky, go to fashion shows, get WWD 3 times a week and subscribe to several fashion/trend blogs. I see what’s in, and then I make it fit my body, my budget, and my personality. Those three things will never change (except hopefully my budget, and god forbid my body), but trends are always evolving – I think the whole point of fashion is to go with it, try new things and have fun. Right now I’m digging the 40’s and 20’s, so most of my styles have just a touch of that. I also tend to be more preppy/classic trendy – but I think only because that’s my fashion safe zone.
Why we spotted her:
It takes a true daredevil fashionista to sport a mini in subzero temperatures. Morgan manages to work the effortless, manicured prep look smack in the middle of January. Weather? Nonissue.
Peacoat: L.L. Bean, $200. Baby Blue V-Neck Sweater: Mossimo from Target, $12. Pashmina Scarf: street vendor, $5. Skirt: Forever 21, $6. Stockings: Uniqlo, $5. Boots: Jessica Simpson, $100. Bracelet: Forever 21, $6. Bag: Marc Eco from Macy’s, $80.

How would you describe your style?
Modern Day Vampire.
Winter plans?
Hanging out; I’m from the city.
Why we spotted him:
Andrew proves, with his skeleton gloves, that he is no frou frou Edward Cullen/pretty-boy kind of vampire. Oh no. Armed with wind-swept locks, striped shirt, and belted boots, Andrew perfects the style of a modern day Count — simultaneously exuding class and tinge of darkness.
Coat: H&M, $120. Gloves: H&M, $15. Shirt: H&M, $25. Tie: Topman, $25. Suit: Topman, $200. Boots: Guess, $35.
Andrew spotted on 27th Street and 7th Ave.

Relaxed, Casual/Urban
Winter plans?
Relaxing, skiing.
Why we spotted her:
Ever since Jean Paul Gaultier’s Fall 2007 show, plaid has been spotted everywhere, being especially ubiquitous this winter. And while I’ve seen it adorn the shirts of grungy hipsters and hoodies of local urbanites, I sure haven’t seen it on ankle boots. I love how it gives a casual-cool look some POP…*grin*.
Scarf: Street Vendor, $5. Leather Jacket: Forever 21, $40. Hoodie: Target, $10. Tank Top: Urban Outfitters, $5. Jeans: Macy’s, $45. Boots: POP in Brooklyn, $60.

Where are you on your way to?
Exchanging some books at the book store (she stopped even though she was carrying this huge cardboard box).
Favorite store?
None, really. I make most of my own clothes.
How would you describe your style?
Exuding a storm cloud effect.
Winter plans?
I was selected to participate in Fusion, the yearly fashion show competition between Parsons and FIT, so I’ve been working on that.
Why we spotted her:
Storm cloud indeed. Dark yet polished, Alex does an incredible job emphasizing the inverted-triangular structure of her cape by keeping the rest of her ensemble sleek and simple. But of course she would know to do this, given her ridiculous talent for design. I can’t wait to see her designs for Fusion come March 6th. Her competition better be wary…
Hat: H&M, $6. Fur: Vintage in Portland, $90. Coat: Zara, $125. Gloves: I made them (click below for image). Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs, $200. Leggings: Zara, $40. Boots: Steve Madden, $23.
